Ministry & Business Spotlight: Turnaround Community Outreach and Panchos Southwestern Grille

One of the highlights today was getting to see Turnaround Community Outreach in action. This ministry was well run and sponsored by Faith family Church in Canton. Shortly after arriving at the building we sat in the living room waiting for the service to start as they served water and hot coffee as people came off the streets. As soon as the worship ministers were ready we were all ushered into the main sanctuary where worship music was already playing creating a peaceful atmosphere. After everyone settled in the worship leaders sang one song and spoke an exhortation out of Phillipians 4:6. The worship leader emphasized to us to cast our cares on the "caretaker" referring to Jesus. After the song the lady invited the speaker who spoke on how our heavenly father is approachable. He went on to read a few scriptures but the one that stood out to me Hebrews 4:13.

He emphasized how we can approach the throne of grace with confidence knowing we have a high priest in Jesus who has been tempted in everyway that we have been tempted. Soon after the worship minister came up and they turned on worship music and asked the question about who wanted to put their trust in Jesus as their Lord. I did not get the numbers correctly but im pretty sure about 5 people went up to get prayer and accept Christ as Lord. The video shows about 3o seconds of the ministry time as the faith family staffed prayer team came out to pray and minister to the ones who responded to the call to follow Christ.

After the prayer time we all got into a line that led into the cafeteria area where our meal was served. Chad and i were very hungry so we were glad to eat whatever was offered to us. The meal that we ate was donated by Panchos southwestern grille in North Canton and it consisted of two soft tacos, mexican rice apple sauce, and fruit punch.

As i ate the meal i was so appreciative of people, ministries and businesses who were partnering together to see the needy and poor fed and clothed in our City.
